Molia Dumbleton
Molia Dumbleton's fiction and poetry have appeared in Kenyon Review, New England Review, Cincinnati Review, Witness, Smokelong Quarterly, The Stinging Fly, The Best Small Fictions Anthology, The Bath Flash Fiction Award Anthology, The Bridport Prize Anthology, and elsewhere. Her work has been awarded the Seán Ó Faoláin Story Prize and Columbia Journal Winter Award, among other honors, and her collection of stories was a finalist for the Iowa Short Fiction Award. She is an Assistant Fiction Editor for Split Lip Magazine and a member of the Curatorial Board at Ragdale, and was a reader/nominator of finalists for both the AWP Grace Paley Prize for Short Fiction and the AWP Series Prize for the Novel in 2021.
She freelances as a writer, editor, teacher, and coach, and has offered courses and sessions at the Newberry Library, Loft Literary Center, Medaille College, Rutgers-Camden, and National Louis University. She teaches primarily at DePaul University, however, both in the School for Continuing and Professional Studies and in the English Department. She has a B.A. from Oberlin College, an M.A. from Rice University, an M.A. in Creative Writing from Northwestern University, and an M.F.A. in Writing from Bennington College.
